Marketplace Elite Circle of Champions

Action Benefits Insurance Agency has been honored by the Health Insurance Marketplace® as a member of the 2026 Marketplace Circle of Champions. This award from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) emphasizes Action’s success in actively enrolling consumers during this Open Enrollment Period.

“We appreciate their commitment to providing outstanding service and helping consumers access coverage,” said Peter Nelson, Deputy Administrator & Director at CMS. “Agents and brokers are important partners to CMS in our shared goal of helping improve program integrity and enroll consumers in appropriate coverage across the nation.”

CMS created the Marketplace Circle of Champions program to commemorate the hard work and commitment of Marketplace-registered agents and brokers throughout America.

On-Marketplace health insurance plans
These are offered through the government-sponsored Health Insurance Marketplace, a tool that allows you to compare and purchase health insurance plans. These plans are also known as Obamacare or Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans. On-marketplace plans must meet certain requirements set by the government, such as providing essential health benefits and covering pre-existing conditions. Premium tax credits and cost-sharing reductions may be available to individuals who meet certain income requirements. Unless you have experienced a qualifying life event (birth, death, move or other), you can only enroll in these plans during the annual open-enrollment period: November 1 through January 15.

Off-Marketplace health insurance plans
These are sold outside of the Health Insurance Marketplace. Off-marketplace plans may offer more flexibility in terms of coverage options and premiums, but they are not required to meet the same requirements as on-marketplace plans. Premium tax credits and cost-sharing reductions are not available on these plans.

Short-term health insurance plans
Short-term plans provide temporary coverage for individuals who are between jobs or experiencing a coverage gap. These plans are typically less expensive than on-marketplace plans, but they may also offer less comprehensive coverage. Short-term medical plans are not required to meet the same requirements as on-marketplace plans and may not cover pre-existing conditions. Premium tax credits and cost-sharing reductions are not available on these plans.

Accident, cancer, hospital indemnity, and other coverage
Each of these policies covers what you expect them to cover; for example, doctor visits, hospital stays and prescription drugs. But they don’t help offset costly ER copays, supplement your income in the event of cancer, stroke or heart attack, or provide lump-sum payments to pay for household help as you recover. Our team will help you evaluate your options, and ensure your health and income are protected.
